On 3rd December, 1914, the 1st Honourable Artillery Company battalion of 8 Brigade, 3rd Division moved into the front line at Kemmel in Belgium with two companies in the trenches and the other two working on the construction of dug-outs. The battalion diary entry for 5th December recorded that it was a quiet day and makes no mention of any casualties so the circumstances of the death of Sydney Fabian, who was killed on that day, are not known. |
